Participation, responsibility and steady academic effort.

← A Guide for Families

School Attendance

Students are expected to attend school consistently and follow school attendance policies. Families should support regular attendance and communicate attendance concerns through the appropriate school and program channels.

Family Responsibility

Academic Performance

Students are expected to maintain the academic standard required by their program and school. Where the student’s signed Program Agreement requires a C+ average or higher in all courses, evaluated quarterly, students must maintain that standard. Academic requirements are subject to the student’s signed agreement and applicable program terms; a single grade threshold should not be assumed to apply to every program.

School Rules

Students must comply with school conduct and academic policies. School disciplinary and academic decisions are made through the school’s applicable procedures; program staff can support communication but do not replace the school’s authority.

Program Rules

Students must understand and follow the applicable Program Agreement, conduct expectations and applicable laws. Review the program’s specific restrictions and requirements concerning:

  • Alcohol
  • Illegal drugs
  • Smoking / vaping
  • Harassment
  • Serious misconduct
  • Applicable laws
  • Program conduct expectations

Please Remember

Activities & Graduation

Sports participation, extracurricular participation, graduation and a diploma are not guaranteed. These opportunities and outcomes depend on school policies, eligibility requirements and the student’s individual circumstances, as well as applicable program terms. Families should confirm requirements with the school and program before relying on a particular outcome.

This guide should be read alongside the student’s signed agreement and applicable program terms. Requirements and authorizations can vary by program.
