A personal view of program fit
The assessment considers age, English ability, academic background, personality, interests and family needs together. We look at the kind of school experience and everyday environment in which the student may feel ready to participate and grow.
Understanding school choice
Some pathways allow applications to specific schools; others work through a district, a defined school list or a placement process. We explain the choices available within the proposed program, how applications are reviewed and which decisions sit with the receiving school or program organization.
Understanding region choice
Location options differ by pathway. A region may be selectable, a preference may be considered, or the location may be determined through placement. The team explains which arrangement applies and how availability and the student’s profile may affect the options.
Making sense of placement
Placement is the process of confirming the student’s school and, where applicable, accommodation or host family arrangements. In exchange pathways, matching may depend on school acceptance and a suitable host family. We explain how the proposed program works, what information is still pending and when the family can expect the next update.
