Local Assessment & First-Line Support

Local / Area Representative

Local support, regular check-ins and first-line coordination.

HOW THIS ROLE SUPPORTS YOU

Core responsibilities

  • Local student check-ins
  • Host family communication
  • School communication
  • Placement monitoring
  • Student wellbeing observations
  • Local issue assessment
  • Helping students and host families resolve everyday concerns
  • Program rule guidance
  • Reporting significant concerns to the Sponsor / Program Team
  • Supporting approved placement changes when necessary
  • Local emergency communication

Assessment, escalation and approved next steps

Significant concerns are reported to the Sponsor / Program Team. A request to change host families starts with local assessment; it does not guarantee a change. The Local / Area Representative supports approved placement changes when necessary, while final decisions remain with the responsible authority under program rules. The International Representative can assist family communication but does not replace local assessment or decide the outcome.
